About SWP
A multi-family office for people who want clear guidance, not a playbook.
Most families with complex wealth have good advisors. What they’re missing is a firm that’s accountable for how all that advice fits together.
That’s the job Strategic Wealth Partners was built for: a multi-family office acting as family CFO and CIO, with the depth for complex work and the directness to make it useful for you.
More specialists don’t add up to a plan.

Complex wealth collects advisors. An investment manager, a CPA, an estate attorney, a banker, sometimes a second of each. Every one of them can be excellent, and the family can still end up with outcomes nobody designed.
That’s because the hard part of complex wealth isn’t any single discipline. It’s the space between them: how one decision changes another, which one has to come first, what gets traded off, who is accountable for the overall result, and who is still paying attention when circumstances change.
Someone must own that space. SWP was built for this.
The portfolio didn’t
become less important.
It stopped being
the only job.

SWP began as a wealth management firm, and investment management is still central to what we do. But the families we worked with kept bringing us problems that didn’t stop at the portfolio.
- A business that made up most of the net worth.
- A tax picture that changed with every major decision.
- Estate plans that depended on valuations nobody was tracking.
- Liquidity events that changed everything at once.
Managing the portfolio well wasn’t enough when the biggest decisions were happening elsewhere on the balance sheet.
So, our role expanded to match the need: a multi-family office acting as family CFO and CIO, responsible for how the whole system fits together.
And for business owners, that includes something conventional wealth management often overlooks: the operating company is part of the family’s balance sheet long before it’s sold.
What you can expect
01
Practical over textbook.
There are all kinds of scenarios. A business partner who’s reluctant to sell, a child who needs support, a property nobody will part with, a timeline that isn’t negotiable. A recommendation must work with the facts, not ignore them.
02
Willing to depart from the default.
The sequence, specialists, portfolio, tax approach, and risk level all depend on your situation. A templated plan with your name slapped on rarely delivers optimal outcomes. We start with what’s true for you, not what’s conventional.
03
We show the reasoning.
You’ll know what we recommend, why it’s recommended, and which facts about your situation are driving it. If we can’t explain a recommendation plainly and back it up, we’re not making it.
As a fiduciary, we’re legally and ethically bound to act in your best interests—and we take that seriously.
Our ApproachYou shouldn’t have to manage your own wealth like a project.
In most advisory arrangements, the family ends up as the coordinator. You schedule the calls, relay what one professional said to another, and decide which advice wins when two recommendations conflict.
SWP is set up so that isn’t your job.
We provide:
-
One governing view. As a multi-family office, we see the whole balance sheet, personal and professional.
-
Clear ownership. You know who to call here, and they already know the answer, or how to get it quickly.
-
Specialist coordination. Your attorney, CPA and other professionals work from one plan, not from separate ones.
-
Continuity. When something changes, your SWP team is already responsible for what it affects.
That’s a commitment about how the relationship works. It isn’t a claim that we perform every specialist task ourselves. We don’t, and we’ll be clear about who does what.
A multi-family office only works when the right people are in place.
Complex wealth needs real capability: investment and planning expertise, experienced judgment, and specialists who can handle unusual situations. SWP is designed to provide experienced capability without the large institution layers.
You get straight access to seasoned people. Communication that is direct. And guidance that is anything but a routine blueprint.

The reason to have this relationship is what happens next.
Sell a company and you’ve created a capital-deployment problem, a tax year and an estate conversation.
Retire with a large, concentrated stock position, and liquidity, taxes and portfolio construction all change at once.
Build significant wealth across investments, real estate, trusts and private holdings, and coordination becomes its own financial problem.
The triggers vary. The need for coordination doesn’t.
You shouldn’t have to rebuild your advisory team every time your situation changes.
