Why Work With a CFA Charterholder?

It often starts with a simple thought, “Do I need help managing my wealth?” If so, the next question is the most vital, “Who do I turn to for guidance?” You may start by researching financial credentials and soon discover that the world of investment designations is a confusing alphabet soup of letters.

Since the Great Financial Crisis of 2008, trust in the financial industry has eroded. One needs to have full confidence, that the person managing their hard-earned wealth is acting as a fiduciary and places your best interest first. That is why you should work with an investment professional bound by the greatest ethical standards, such as a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®).

The Chartered Financial Analyst® designation was first introduced in 1963 and has since become the most respected investment credential in the world. The CFA® designation is globally recognized and held by over 170,000 professionals across 165 countries. Earning the CFA® charter is a highly selective process, fewer than one in five candidates become a CFA® charterholder. It takes on average more than 1,000 hours of rigorous study, along with four years of professional investment experience and successful completion of the CFA® Program examinations, to earn the distinction of being called a Chartered Financial Analyst®.

Historical CFA Exam Pass Rates

Each CFA® charterholder has at least four years of industry experience and has passed three rigorous 6-hour examinations. The CFA Program Curriculum focuses on core asset management subjects that include investment tools, asset valuation, portfolio management, and the application of ethical and professional standards.

CFA® charterholders are trained to understand what drives value across your financial ecosystem. They have mastered more than just the science behind securities analysis and asset allocation. They also have expert-level portfolio management skills and the ability to work effectively with tax and inter-generational wealth planning experts to design an investment strategy that is unique to your objectives.

Ethics is a core component of the CFA® Program. CFA® charterholders are required to annually attest compliance with the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.

CFA® charterholders put their clients first by supporting the CFA Institute Statement of Investor Rights. These rights reflect the fundamental ethical principles that are critical to achieving confidence and trust in any professional relationship. When you work with a CFA® charterholder you can rest assured that your adviser has achieved one of the highest distinctions, conferred upon a select group of rigorously trained professionals.

As you go through the process of answering the question “Who do I turn to for guidance” and would like to partner with an ethical investment professional who has the proven expertise as well as the integrity to meet your investment goals, then please send me a message for a complimentary holistic investment portfolio review.
