Sam Petitjean brings an energetic, client-first approach to his role as an Associate Wealth Advisor, combining a strong foundation in financial planning with a genuine passion for building relationships. Sam thrives in client-facing roles and is driven by the opportunity to help people take control of their financial future with clarity and confidence.
Before joining Strategic Wealth Partners, Sam built a diverse foundation in wealth management. He previously served as a Private Client Banker at KeyBank, where he worked closely with high-net-worth clients to understand their financial goals and uncover opportunities for meaningful, personalized solutions. He also gained valuable experience as a paraplanning intern at Wealth Advocate Group, where he supported financial advisors through data analysis, eMoney plan modeling, and direct client interaction.
Sam earned his degree in Financial Planning and Wealth Management from John Carroll University, completing a CFP® Board Registered Program. He holds his SIE, Series 7, Series 66, and New York State Life & Health insurance licenses. Now, in his role at SWP, Sam supports senior advisors in crafting thoughtful, comprehensive financial plans, conducting client outreach, and ensuring each interaction reflects the firm’s commitment to tailored, high-quality service.
Driven, competitive, and success-oriented, Sam is focused on soaking up as much knowledge as he can from the experienced team around him. His attention to detail, love for strategy, and commitment to client well-being make him a valuable part of the SWP family.
Originally from New Orleans, Sam and his family relocated to Buffalo, NY after Hurricane Katrina, but he still keeps close ties to his hometown—especially during Mardi Gras and Saints games. Outside the office, Sam stays active by playing in basketball leagues, working out at the gym six days a week, and prioritizing physical and mental wellness.
